Services are provided to clients in their residence on a part-time, intermittent visiting basis by a qualified Home Health Professional. Tahir Allauddin M.D., Medical Director
Dr. Allauddin is a pulmonologist in Colonial Heights, Virginia. He received his medical degree from Dow University of Health Science in 1990. His post graduate internship was completed at Civil Hospital at the University of Karachi in Pakistan in 1991. Dr. Allauddin then completed his residency in internal medicine and pulmonary research and clinical fellow at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens New York in 1996 and 1997 respectively. He continued his medial experience at the Albert Einstein Medical College in Brooklyn, New York where he completed Fellowship in Pulmonary at Catholic Medical Center affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. From this, he gained extensive experience in two Inner City Hospitals (St. Johns Queens and Mary Immaculate Hospital) with rotations in 20 bed Critical Care Units in both hospitals providing Pulmonary Consultations, Ventilator Management, and Emergency Care.
Dr. Allauddin is a Diplomat of The American Board of Internal Medicine and a Chairman for the Medical Library and Education Committee at Southside Regional Medical Center. He is a part of the American Thoracic Society, American Medical Association, and the American College of Chest Physician. He is certified in ECFMG, USMLE and has done examinations of Cardiopulmonary Exercise Study and Pulmonary Function Testing at Sensor Medics in California, Sleep Study at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, and is eligible for both the Pulmonary Boards and Sleep Medicine Board. He is certified in Bronchoscopy with biopsy, Thoracocentesis with Pleural biopsy, Swan Ganz, Arterial and Central Venous Catherization, performing and interpreting of Pulmonary Function Testing, Bronchoprovocative challenge test, Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing, and Ventilator Management.
Currently, Dr. Allauddin is the Pulmonary Consultation Coverage at Vibra Hospital, Co-Director at HealthSouth Pulmonary Recovery Program, Director at Gentiva Hospice, Physician Advisor and Director of Medical Education at Southside Regional Medical Center, the Director of Utilization and Management Committee at the Virginia Medical Group, and All About Care’s Medical Director.
Dr. Allauddin brings a unique background to All About Care from his clinical experience to his demonstrated dedication for obtaining the best care available for the patient population he serves.
