The GUIDE Program
The “Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience” (GUIDE) model, created by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, supports family Caregivers and their loved ones who are navigating dementia care. The respite voucher program may provide up to 80 hours of respite care each year. These hours are designed with flexibility in mind and can be used in 4-hour blocks. During this time, your loved one is receiving the specialized care they need.
The program is designed for individuals who are showing signs of cognitive decline or have a dementia diagnosis, are enrolled in traditional Medicare, and have a loving friend or family Caregiver who could use help. Care support includes personalized plans, peace of mind, 24/7 access, and home safety and education.
